Information we collect
Depending on how you use Eezy Receipt, we may collect:
- Account information: your email address, display name, authentication identifiers, and profile preferences. If you use Google sign-in, Google provides the information needed to authenticate your account.
- Receipt and expense information: receipt photographs, merchant and item text, prices, taxes, group names, participant names, item assignments, and payment-status information.
- App and device information: session data and technical information needed to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the service.
- Support communications: the information you include when contacting us.
Camera and photo-library access is used only when you choose to capture, scan, or select a receipt or scan a room QR code.
How we use information
We use information to provide authentication, create and synchronize receipt-sharing rooms, extract receipt text, calculate cost shares, maintain the service, prevent abuse, troubleshoot problems, and respond to support requests.
Service providers and sharing
We do not sell personal information or use it for third-party advertising. We share information only as needed to operate the app, comply with law, protect rights and safety, or complete a transaction you request.
Our service providers include Supabase for authentication, database, file storage, and real-time synchronization; Google for Google sign-in and Cloud Vision receipt-text recognition; and infrastructure providers that host and deliver the app’s backend and website. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy practices.
Receipt-room information is visible to people who join the same room. Anyone with a valid room invitation may be able to access the room information made available through that invitation, so share invitations only with people you trust.
Data retention and deletion
We retain information while it is needed to provide the service and for legitimate security, operational, and legal purposes. A room host can delete a room, which removes its associated receipt records and stored receipt images from our systems, subject to limited backup and legal-retention periods.
To request access to or deletion of your account information, email support@eezyreceipt.com. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
Children’s privacy
Eezy Receipt is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app or applicable requirements change. We will post the updated policy here and revise the effective date.
